STFree Certifications was founded in 2003 by Eli Dancy. Born and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn N.Y., at the age of 22, Dancy decided to do something about the irresponsibility concerning unsafe sex practices in the society he lived in. Research showed that the highest rates of STD infections were right in the community in which he lived and communities just like his. Eli decided that something had to be done; past attempts from outsiders to do STD/AIDS prevention in neighborhoods such as his had failed. He felt the failure of current prevention methods was strongly due to the lack of knowledge decision makers had on the true issues that really go on in affected communities.
An entity needed to be in place that would feed off the energy that fueled the infection rates, but also be simple and swift enough for this fast pace society to accept. In Dec. 2004, Eli was extremely proud to introduce the world’s first and only Safe Sex License to NYC. Now, going on 3 years later and over 15,000 members strong, STFree introduces the world to its’ new online registration for HIV/AIDS testing.

Who we are?
You’ve might have seen us on TV, heard us on the radio, read about us in an array of publications, or even visited us on the internet. Our presence has been experienced by socially responsible individuals across the globe. We are STFree Certifications inventors of the world’s first and only Safer Sex Smart Card AKA the Safe Sex License. STFree Certifications Inc. works directly with STD testing facilities nationwide and acts as a 3rd party entity by verifying and storing individuals STD testing information into a secure interactive database with their consent. We then provide all of our members with a confidential smart card called the Safer Sex Smart Card (SSSC). The Safer Sex Smart Card is one of the newest advancements in HIV/AIDS education and prevention, it provides its users instant access to important STD testing information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Why we are needed
We now live in an era where new infections among young adults in the U.S. are at the highest point to date. With the invention of the Safer Sex Smart Card, we have arrived at the right time to assist in helping individuals make informed decisions about sexual behaviors that may put them at a higher risk for contracting or spreading HIV/AIDS and other STD’s/STI’s. The invention of STFree’s patented Safer Sex Smart Card has added a layer of protection against irresponsible sexual behaviors in many ways; It has considered a great icebreaker when introducing safe sex into a conversation, it has also received major attention for its unique and confidential way of allowing its users to relay important HIV/AIDS testing history information to a current or potential sexual partners kind of like a sexual credit check in tern helping users make a better informed decision. Statistics show that 1 in 4 of every HIV/AIDS infected people in the US doesn’t know their infected, with this information being known we can no longer take word of mouth anymore when it comes to that life altering questions of “have you been tested”.

The STFree Team realizes how important it is for everyone to know their status. It is extremely that individuals understand that HIV has a window period of 3 – 6 months, during this period the HIV virus may not be detected. Sexually active individuals need to be tested at least two times within a controlled period in order to truly know there status. However, studies have proven that most people who get tested don’t return for a follow-up test. So the question is (even for individuals who do get tested), do they effectively know their status after their initial test? The STFree Safer Sex System was developed to get individuals more engaged with their sexual health; in doing this we require every member to have an HIV/AIDS test administered a minimum of 2 times a year in order to keep their Safer Sex smart Cards active.
